12" Powerbook LCD Upgrade

Hey this is more of a technical question as opposed to a troubleshooting issue.

I have a beloved 12" powerbook 1.33GHZ model that has recently had an LCD failure.

I was wondering if it would be at all possible to get a replacement 12.1" LCD screen with the SXGA+ (1400 x 1050) or XGA+ (1152 x 864) resolution. When at home I plug it into an auxiliary monitor so the low resolution is not an issue, but sometimes when I am trying to show clients some of my graphical work, the native resolution of the 12" screen just doesn't seem to be enough anymore.

I know that there are PC laptops with the same 12.1 LCD dimensions and with the higher resolution standards. My question is would the internal video card (NVIDEA GeForce FX go5200) of the powerbook recognize the ability for a higher resolution if I had one of these screens. Also would the connections be the same? or would they require modification.

Any ideas/thoughts/opinions would be greatly appreciated.
