It cost me close to $800, but I did it.

I am now an officially certified Apple Tech. Yay!

Luckily, my employer will defer most of the costs as training and I'll get reimbursed....

Now, to find an Authorized Service Provider to take me in on a part-time basis so I can become a fully-qualified Apple Service tech...

Congrats SJ... Nice job.

Personally I would have spent the money towards a sex change, but that's just me.

LOL

The course was fairly intensive (a lot of spec memorizing), but the test wasn't that bad. Still had to study, though.

As for the cost, it was $450 for the course materials (damned exchange) and $250 for one exam. I didn't go for the Portable exam, even though it was basically the same test, because it would have cost me another $250.

Now I should put ACT after my name!
