Apple has delayed the World Wide Developers Conference to June from May.

This is certainly a signal they are preraring for something BIG. Namely Panther, the next OS X release. Rumour has it (and I beleive them) that it will be 64-bit in preparation for the IBM PPC970 CPU. Last I heard production was ramping up this month. Apple has tendered the new motherboard manufacturing contract out to be finalized soon and now we have a public admission of the code-name of Mac OS X 10.3

All this points to a new PowerMac being readied for either MacWorld NY or possibly at San Francisco. Lets all hope this is what Appled needs to catch up in the performance game and increase their slow sales of PowerMacs!

Saving my penies now....

They've also moved the conference, which means I get to spend a week in San Francisco instead of San Jose :D
