YES! :D

That's been possible since 10.1, actually (with a hack), and is natively available within 10.2. It's in the "Sharing" preference pane, under "Internet".

If your cable modem is plugged into the Mac's ethernet port, you can share that connection via AirPort.

Simple as pie.... ;)

Hmm... not sure about that. It's probably a topic of discussion over at Apple.

One thing I have found out... of of the community groups I help out at has a cable modem, which plugs into a five-port router, and off each of those five ports we have a hub connecting still more computers, including an eMac with Airport. I can surf with my laptop via the eMac using Internet Sharing, but I can't POP mail, or log into secure sites (like Hotmail, if you'll excuse my liberal use of the word "secure"
)
