Wireless 802.11 PCMCIA Card for PB3400

I picked up a PowerBook 3400c off of eBay about 6 months ago, put a 30GB hd in it, and have been using it since as my daily machine without a hitch. (I went away on exchange this year to Europe and couldn't bring my 7600 with me. :(

What I'd love though, asside from USB support, is to get 802.11 wireless networking ability on it.

I saw a vendor at MWNY '02 that was selling Wireless PCMCIA cards that worked in non-cardbus enabled laptops (if the 3400 had cardbus, I wouldn't be asking this).

Does anyone know of a 802.11 card that works in laptops that don't have cardbus? I've looked around, but I haven't been able to find a vendor on the net.

Also, what does running a wireless networking card do to battery life?

Thanks in advance,

Kardnal

You might want to check out a Proxim (formerly Farallon) Skyline 802.11b PCMCIA card @ http://www.farallon.com/products/all/skyline/pn473/index.html

Sells for about $175 CDN.
Also check out this site:

They also just had a review in the latest MacAddict magazine. About $90 US...

Don't know too much about wireless other than that.
