It doesn't seem to be worth it to me.

The big things that AppleCare covers are the screen and the motherboard. The screen you put in wouldn't be covered, and if the motherboard needs replacing Apple might not cover it because of the repair work you already did.

You already proved you can do major Mac surgery yourself, so if the motherboard needs replacing you can likely do it, too.

Kinda what I was thinking.

Its not the surgery I'm worried about. I'm pretty much just worried the motherboard might blow. If thats the case I'll be getting a new mac before I replace it. They go for to much money on eBay.

And with Ebay there are no guarantees. I hate spending big money online. I always worry I'll spend $500 on a bum motherboard.

Anyone else want to chime in?
