Daylight Savings Time - was changed this year so systems require patches.

no, i'm talking the current time is 12:40p and it gets changed to 5:40a....
If it were "12:40a" and "5:40a", then the "12:40a" is the Eastern Standard Time (EST) and "5:40a" is the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). EST is behind GMT by 5 hours in standard time, and 4 hours in Daylight Saving Time (as we are currently in).

I think this is due to the fact that OS X uses UTC as the underlying time, then modifies it with regard to your time zone. Windows XP uses the time-zone-specific time as the underlying time, and gets horribly confused when the hardware clock reports UTC time.

There's a registry hack to make Windows run under UTC, but you'll have to google it.

It's a very well known issue with Bootcamp. It's happened with my iMac since I first installed XP on it. Tho, it wasn't having the issue for a little while before I deleted my XP partition.

Set them both to adjust time automatically and it should be fine. If it's not, do it manually.. fixes it right up.
