I have a chance to get either one of two internal 10 gb IBM laptop drives for my Lombard.
The first one says it was made in Hungary in 01
While the second one says it was made in Thailand in 02.
Which one is the better one...Or...Is there a difference in reliability?.
Anyone had problems with IBM laptop drives made in Hungary?

Well...I'm glad to see by your reply that you
think it was a good deal.
Thanks, I feel better already.

10GB? Cool but hella small with today's standard. I try to look for 5400s. I have this 20G, 5400 IBM in my Pismo, and it's so quiet that when I 1st got my hands on it, I couldn't believe that the unit was on. Just sick how quiet it is. Long Live Fluid Bearings!

Yes it's small by todays standards, But...It was cheaper than what most stores sell it for and this month I wanted to buy 2 things with my allowance instead of one :D

Kidding aside...I wanted to get the Toshiba 5400 40 gig drive (With the big honking 8 mb cache), But...It's just not in Canada yet...Maybe when the dollar gets a little higher then maybe...Just maybe...Canada will actually start getting higher tech big ticket items available locally, Until then...See you at the USA shopping web sites.
