Not free, and the OCR feature is only available in the Pro upgrade, but in case you already have it, VueScan does have quite usable OCR features that many users don't realize is there.
It's also one of those software purchases that really delivers... the Pro version gives you unlimited upgrades for life.... worth the expense, and it keeps you scanning on your favourite scanner long after it stops being "offically" supported in macOS.
I note the app you showed seems to be for Windozers.
Suggest you open a free OneDrive account. https://onedrive.live.com/about/en-us/
It is free and you do not have to download the cloud software onto your computer you can just access it via the web. Scan an image of your text and post it as a jpg or png file in the Files>Picture folder (or a subfolder in Pictures). Once it up loads click on the photo to make it go full screen. Click on the little circled "i" in the upper right corner. This will open the information column.
It may take a few minutes but eventually an extracted text section should appear between the Information and Comments section. You can scan the next page while you wait. Hardly a full featured OCR, but depending on the font I have found it to be very accurate. You can copy and paste into Text Edit. In Text Edit you should be able to use "command f" to easily track down unwanted line returns and replace them with a space. You can also do this in Pages but you have to show invisibles first.
I do not use iCloud but if you do I would check it for a similar feature.
As always I suggest a using dummy gmail or Yahoo email account rather than your main email when creating the OneDrive account.
