Here the specs:

2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
2GB 667 DDR2 SDRAM - 2x1GB
160GB Serial ATA [email protected]
SuperDrive 8X
15" Glossy Widescreen Display
No Modem
No Optional S/W
BkLit Keyboard/Mac OS
Country Kit

Obviously it's mint and I have all the original packing and what not. It was purchased 3 weeks ago.

I'm gonna downgrade to a Black MacBook (my wife has a white one). I ordered a 23" cinema and Im going to save up for a Mac Pro once the latest upgrades come out.

I'd like to sell soon but need an Idea of what I can get for it. I'll pay shipping. I paid over $3000 for it.

Thanks!

Not entirely sure, but your system has some nice specs.

Question: Why don't you just upgrade your Macbook Pro when the new updates come out instead of buying a black Macbook? Is it because of the size of the Macbook, or maybe you want two machines eventually? Just curious.
Is this a new Santa Rosa with the LED backlite screen and nvidea video card?
Yes, its the newest revision.

I like the smaller size of the macbook and with the extra $1000 after the sale and purchase of the black macbook, I'm able to purchase a 23" cinema. I dont need the power of the pro and I'm so used to the 13.3 inch screen that the 15" looks like a monster to me!

Thanks
I see. Makes sense. I'm going from a 17" to a 13.3", so we'll see how that goes.

Well, you won't get nearly $3000 for it. New it is $2799 from Apple, any BTO options and taxes are pretty much lost money.

The closest refurb is the 2.33 GHz with 120 Gb drive but with 256 Mb video card for $2089 from Apple.

One thing you could do to help the sale is to state whether there were any dead pixels, and state whether there was any LED inconsistency or screen yellowing issues. If the screen is perfect, some people may prefer a 'tested and perfect' used machine over the Apple-chance-return-dance on new. Also, a near new machine raises the question in the buyer's mind of whether it is being sold to offload a lemon machine. Addressing that objection would be good.

Of course, if there are defects you are honour-bound to state those as well prior to sale.

If there are defects, I would send it back to apple my friend. The machine is perfect.
I bet these will refurb for $2599ish or $2499ish from Apple.ca pretty soon.

That might be somewhere to start.

Too bad you didn't decide this before the 14 day return policy ;)

Good to hear. When you advertise it, be sure to detail that it is perfect.
looks like it was worth 2500!
Sold!
;)

Black MacBook and 23" Here we go!

Thanks ehmac, your the best
You're just throwing away money. I can't understand why you want a 23", yet a 15.4 screen is a monster to you? The MBP weighs only marginally more, and is thinner than the MacBook. It has the Santa Rosa chipset, and a LED backlit screen, which is superior to the MacBook. If you sell, you'll lose $500 off the bat, which means you've just paid, like 2200 for a black Macbook.

But then again, you seem to do this pretty perpetually, so maybe you've got the cash to burn. Maybe the different perspective will change your mind.

Opps. Moot point. Enjoy your Macbook.

I dont get what you're trying to say.

15.4 Is too large for a laptop I think. Especially for travel.
The 13 is perfect.

So your point is?
