What exactly is a centrist? The right has fought a successful campaign over the last 30 years or so to move the center to the right. What was once moderate left is now considered far left. What was moderate right is now considered centrist. What was far right is now right, and what was once considered bug-f*#k insane is now simply far right.

Reading this thread as it inevitably unravels into a veritable playground of sniping, preening egos, reminds me again why I dig the centrist thang. On the one hand I am, apparently, blackguard. One the other... a blackguard. Being reviled by both sides... how cool is that? And now the fresh contention that centrists are really just fascists under cover of blandness.
