It looked pretty much like 10.1.

Scary as snot! The first boot was very different. It looked cool, but I got scared and dumped it off the HD after a day or so. Back then there wasn't too much you could do with it anyway, besides starting Classic. Boy, those were the days. I know how Orvill and Wilbur Wright must have felt at Kittyhawk!!!! Or Neil Armstrong. Or Tommy Lee. ;)

Here's a screenshot of the beta... note the Apple logo in the middle, no Apple Menu, no clock...

10.0 looked a lot like 10.1, the major difference was it crashed all the time and supported virtually no third party software.

I remember it had the battery symbol for notebooks in the doc.

Hmmm... so 10.0 is of interest to people, eh? I have a 10.0 install CD - should I keep it for posterity, or put it up for auction? :D

Yah, I still have my 10.0 CD, 10.1 upgrade and Jaguar and Panther.

Can't find my Public Beta CD anywhere.

Those were exciting days.

I think I've heard that they make great rear view mirror decorations. Or was that Christmas tree stars.

If anyone wants to find out first-hand what 10.0 and 10.1 were like, I have the disks. The packaging, even. It's probably not worth a great deal, but donations would be gratefully received. I live in White Rock BC if you want to pick it up. Also, Jaguar complete for $50.

Cheers :-> Bill
