Yes, sort of, if your ISP supports it. For example, Telus offers mobile computing, tied to their EVDO network which I gather is a separate network from their cell network, and you have to look up on their coverage map if it is supported in a particular location. And not all the hardware available through ISPs support mac (Telus says they do), so check that out as well.

Can one buy interface cards for the laptop that allow web access via the cellphone network?
