Hello,

I have a mid-2011 imac with a faulty graphics card. My serial number is C02J30THDHJQ and you can see the DHJQ is one of the known serial numbers that qualified for a free replacement within 4 years from the original purchase date. Sadly, that deadline has come and gone so I'm guessing I can no longer get the replacement covered. Is anyone parting out one of these machines that has a good video card yet? There are a few on eBay but it's borderline whether I'd make my money back if I have to pay more than $500 to maybe fix the machine. My goal is to get it running and then sell it as a working machine.

Any help appreciated.

Check with Apple regardless of the time frame. You never know if they're feeling charitable on any given day. Maybe you can cut a deal with them to cover all or part of the repair.
