I'm sure there are such stats floating all over the net but this is was pretty interesting, esp seeing the growth and decline/disappearance of certain browsers.

It really depends on which source you use. Wikipedia has a bunch of sources listed and the figures are quite different. Figures vary quite a bit between North America and the rest of the world, too.

What is clear from almost every set of statistics is that Internet Exploder is no longer top of the heap, and that Chrome has taken the crown. Google's world domination plans seem to be going swimmingly.
