Did VST ever make a swapable CDRW/DVD drive for a Lombard ?
I couldn't find any reference to it in searches.
There was a recent ebay auction. The seller said that it operated in OS X.

Thanks

VST used to make them but were bought out by
SmartDisk Smartisk has some expansion bay devices,
But I don't think you can get the old VST style DVD
CDRW drive anymore from them.

You can go to MCE...But...They are expensive:
MCE DVD/CDRW expansion bay

I found this store recently that has some accessories for
Powerbooks, If it doesn't help you...
It might help someone else:

PowerBook accessories

The cheapest source that I've found for expansion bay
drives is here at:

Wegener Media

One thing to note though about Wegener...
You have to return your old drive or module to get their
drive at the reduced price. (And they are American).

There is a deal here for the mechanism only:

CDRW/DVD module mechanism for $199. usd

No matter how you slice it...The options are expensive,
Keep looking on eBay for the best deals.

Are you happy running your Lombard in OS X ?
I have come across reports that graphics are slow because the ATI Rage chip isn't supported in X.
Or , is this a minor problem.

I want a laptop for DVD player in the car (kid babysitter !) and iphoto.

Thanks

I only use it in OSX for networking to an ethernet router
for the Internet, If I'm playing games or doing photo
manipulating with PhotoShop or GraphicConverter I'm
using OS 9.2.2.
