hey folks,

I have been looking everywhere for performance and compability information on using the above CAD programs on the OS X platform using Virtual PC windows emulation.

Any ideas or feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks,

James

Actually...any clarification or comments on Virual PC performance would be nice too.

I would like to get the Windows 2000 version, so I can run some software from the office so I can telework. Although, I have no clue how it works.

Would my cable modem still work properly?

How fast is your Mac? How much RAM do you have? VPC likes lots of RAM, and especially a big cache. I don't know your situation, but you may wish to investigate using Mac-native VectorWorks at home, and transfer the files to and from the other programs.

BTW, VertiGoGo, I use VPC 2.1 w/Win95 on a beige G3 with Rogers. I provision a manual IP address connected to a LinkSys. It works fine, even connecting through a VPN to work.
