I have an iPad and I was trying to watch a video from Facebook, I could not. How come and is there any way I can?

Thanks

because it's likely flash video and the gestapo at apple has decreed you're not allowed.
Thanks. No apps available? No other way, obviously. Oh well!
Thanks for that Margaret. That solves a lot of issues I was having with our new iPad. Darn Jobs anyway.

Glad it worked. It's not the smoothest app, but for a quick look it comes in handy.

Yes, the scrolling is so sensitive it tries to highlight and copy things far too easily, but it does indeed play flash and allows me to monitor my flash based forum via the iPad, something I could not do before your tip.

Thanks again.
I know Apple does want Flash but is there other reasons other than Jobs saying no?

I believe Apple have published some data showing that Flash runs batteries down much faster than non-Flash sites. I think they don't allow it because they want to make tiny, svelte, iDevices that don't crap out after a few hours.
Apple can't be trusted on their data regarding this, as they've been found to be fudging the truth over this several times. Their gripes over flash were valid say a year or 2 ago, but funny enough other mobile platforms are running it just fine now.

Personally, I think it should be an option you can get, not a default install, something you need to get, and activate, should you wish it. This banishing of users using a piece of software because they happen to have a philosophical problem with flash, is just BS at this point. But who knows what will come down the pipe in the near future.
