I have a Mid-2014 MacBook Pro (2.6 ghz - i5 processor and 8 GB memory) with a 128gb SSD and am looking to upgrade it to a larger capacity SSD. Looking for something that will give me enough space to partition drive and run Bootcamp as I have some programs I use that are Windows only. They include some accounting and tax software programs. Looking at info online it seems this type of upgrade is possible. Has anyone done this with this model? Any suggestion on size and model of SSD to use? Thanks.

I think the only option for an SSD is OWC as Apple does not use any sort of standard SSD. Would be nice if they adopted some standards options out there like the M2 hard drives, they are smaller then a RAM stick.

I looked at this a while ago and it does look like a pretty simple upgrade. Good luck!
