Hi Dr. G.- yes, those wind chills are all too common in these parts. In our years in Nain, up on the North Coast, we saw some wind chills at -75. I spent some time as a Surface Weather Observer in our last year there at the Weather Station. I'm a weather buff at heart. Nain's the place for that. Rarely is there a day without wind. The winds are quite a bit calmer here in Goose Bay, but the ambient temps are a bit colder. We had -37.7 here the other morning, but the air was nearly still, so it wasn't that bad. Got 20 cms yesterday, and another 5 coming today. Over 200 cms on the ground now. I guess you guys are seeing another record of that stuff, eh?
