Does anyone know if I can put non iTunes downloaded TV shows onto my Touch, ie a show of the office downloaded from limewire or something like that?

Just use iSquint to convert just about any file onto .mp4. It's a free download (get it from versiontracker.com). I find it works far better than MoviePod and is many times faster than using Quicktime to convert the movie, or even itunes. iSquint is very easy to use and you can downgrade the quality to minimize file size. As a rule of thumb keeping the movie to around 800kbs works well.
