Hi

I still do most of my work on my iMac/El Capitan 10.11.6 and also have a new Macbook Pro/OS Sierra 10.12.6.

When I finish working on a file on the iMac what is the best method to push it over into the Macbook to take off-site with me?

Thanks..

You could use iCloud/Dropbox/Google Drive etc. and not have to worry about pushing files.

If you prefer not to use cloud services, you could AirDrop the files, or set up file sharing on the MacBook (in System Preferences) and drop them to that folder in finder on your iMac.

If you're using an Apple app, like Pages / Keynote / Numbers, then iCloud Drive works well.

If you're using Word, Photoshop, Excel, etc., then my go-to is always Dropbox. Put the original in your Dropbox, open it from there, and any changes you make are constantly being updated. This has been my method of working across my personal laptop / work laptop / office iMac for years....
