Trackpad Gestures

I love the trackpad gesture 2 finger scrolling option that gives me the ability to scroll up and down with my new MacBook Pro using Safari. I would like to be able to do a two finger scroll 'backwards' and 'forwards' as well - is that at all possible? If not, is there a program that will assist?

Thanks,
B

Quicksilver with a few plug-ins can do this. You need the 'Abracadabra Triggers' and 'User Interface Access' ones then you can create a trigger with a gesture.

Can't quite figure this out.....I've got the Abracadabra Triggers and the User Intercase Access installed then went into Triggers Selected the Safari Item, Selected the Menu Bar Action but can't seem to get any further than that....can you assist?

backwards and forwards; meaning backwards and forwards between pages?

Do you mean it's not working or you can't get it set-up.

If it's not working you have to choose the modifier key to hold down then you should see some stars when you drag the cursor.

To draw the gesture click the "i" at the bottom of the window to open the drawer. Also make sure "Enable access for assistive devices" is checked in System Preferences>Universal Access.

Yeah...I can get as far as being able to use it to 'show history' but can't figure out how to get it to select 'BACK' in Safari. Can you help out any further. For instsance, your example above has Back as TARGET and I can only figure out gettting 'HISTORY' in there.

Thanks,
B
When you get "History" in the target field press the right arrow key to get to the "Back" and "Forward" options.
got it thanks....a couple of things though.....
I've noticed the QuickSiliver is buggy....it does crash and it has lockup my system several times....and since then I've ditched it....what I did decide to do is to change my shortcuts in 'system prefs' under 'keyboard/mouse' so that on Safari my 'left arrow key' will 'go back a page' and my 'right arrow key' will go 'forward a page'. That being said, it doesn't work for Firefox (which I use more) Any suggestions?

I guess what I was really looking to do in on my MacBook Pro in the beginning was to use the 'two finger scroll' option both horizontally (back and/or forward on a website) and vertically (which works already) - I know QuickSiliver can give me that BUT you need a modifier ie:SHIFT/ALT..etc...
You can use an extension called 'keyconfig' on Firefox to map the arrow keys to go back and forward.

got it thanks...all working
