Apparently the backup volume could not be found.

I know that there are many issues with this device from reading here and on the apple support forums, but has anyone managed to get his thing to work (after it stops working)?

i have reformatted the TC drive and still no joy

well oddly after fiddling some more the backup has commenced!

this thing has been out of it for months and right after i wrote the post it kicked in...

not hat posting is a solution, but hey it worked this time
