Okay- mac pro quad core 3,1 12 gig ram on board, new 2 TB hard drive, evga /nvidia GTX 680 video card, has bluetooth 2 (I believe- don't know about BT 4, though) . Doesn't have wireless yet, but will by next week. Mountain lion is installed on it and it comes with a Samsung 24" LED monitor S24D300. DVD drive is good, too-Hitachi DVD writer, not stock Optiplex. Comes with Keyboard and mouse.

so what might she be worth?

thanks

Didn't see this earlier. Generally I've seen the asking prices for these machines in the range of $550 to $850, depending on numbers of cores and speeds. Used monitor are a price crapshoot to me.

Agreed. I see stockfish 3.1's go for 400-500$ and you've got a few nice upgrades.. the 680GTX is awesome (and I have one too). 1GB or 2GB PC flashed version? think around the $600-$650 range is a good price.

thanks for the reply

Yeah---my magic Mac (tm) 8 ball says about that---no more than $700. The card is an evga one-non-flashed 2 Gigger mac one, I believe . Got it when I got my new(er) may and decided to swap 'em. Am waiting on a wifi card and will install that when it arrives. Shouldn't be super, super hard, I hope. will have to magnetize the screwdriver and remove the hard drive that's in there first just in case. Very good light will help a lot, as will a gentle, kind touch. This will be my first time doing this---hopefully not the last , but you've got to start somewhere, I suppose, and it'll be an experience.

so, no more than $700 it shall be

thanks
