Just noticed something that I don't understand, in System Profiler on my G5. Under Hardware > PCI/AGP Cards, I see the following:

ATY,RV350:

Type: display
Bus: AGP
Slot: SLOT-1
VRAM (Total): 64 MB
Vendor: ATI (0x1002)
Device ID: 0x4150
Revision ID: 0x0000
ROM Revision: 113-A13601-120

Display:

Type: display
Display Type: LCD
VRAM (In Use): 64 MB
Resolution: 1680 x 1050
Depth: 32-bit Color
Main Display: Yes
Mirror: Off
Online: Yes

ATY,Simone_B:

Status: No display connected

What (or who) is Simone_B: ???

That's simply the 'codename' or technical name of certain video card in your Mac. Nothing to get uptight about it. Most video cards have a name like that.

That's also your 2nd video card, correct? If not, your card is a dual-display supported ATI card.

Some video cards just have better names, like mine:

ATY,Rage128Pro:

Type: display
Bus: AGP
Display Type: CRT
VRAM (Total): 8 MB
Vendor: ATI (0x1002)
Device ID: 0x5052
Revision ID: 0x0000
ROM Revision: 113-XXXXX-109

Display:

Resolution: 1024 x 768 @ 75 Hz
Depth: 32-bit Color
Mirror: Off
Online: Yes
Main Display: Yes

Yup, the Radeon 9600 Pro in my G5 supports dual monitors; I guess the Simone_B. thing refers to the second display connection (that I'm not using right now).

I'm not uptight about it; it's just an odd little thing that caught my eye.
