I use the nifty third-part menubar appl SMARTReporter. It's telling me every few weeks that I drop a percentage point in performance (see screenshot).

Is my SSD failing?

I'd get a second opinion as SSDs are to a point self repairing as they have spare blocks to assign. They are not like rotational drives.

We use Drive DX to check

These may be okay too

DriveDx gives me the same as SMARTReporter: 79% but both report 100% SSD health. (Weird!) I'm (a little) relieved! Thanks.

Wear Levelling Count (WLC) is an average of the number of times the blocks have been rewritten. The health of the drive is fine and the WLC will decrease normally with use, until it approaches zero--at which point the drive is reaching the end of its service life.
