My friend with Windows XP uses spyware programs. I use Norton Firewall and IPNet Sentry X, for my cable modem router with wireless access.
Do I need additional spyware software on my Mac?
Ive never seen the need for file swapping programs
really most of the stuff you download is stuff you dont really need and the security vulnerablility is a real concern never mind the legal grayness
A mac comes with lots of basic software to get you started with lots of work, if you intend to use osftware for your business then you really should buy it.
I do think more companues should have cheaper consumer software, perhaps on per use fee basis.
I just did a quick net search, and now I understand your comments. I was naive about what p2p is. ( in my line of work p2p is a moderated mailing list on prostate cancer!)
I think P2P is a great thing provided that it can be controlled some way.Unfortunatly,in the computer age, nothing is.
