I was very happy to find out you can spell check in Safari with Mac OS X's built in Spell Checking service. When you contextual click on the text input screen (Control - click on the screen or right click with two button mouse) you have the options under Spelling:

- Spelling... which bring up a spell check window

- Check Spelling which checks spelling within the document and indicate incorrect spelling with red underlines

- Check Spelling as you type which is my favourite method. The problem is, every time I have to remember to select this. :( Is there a way I can make it always check my spelling in Safari? Haven't seen it anywhere.

I'm not quite sure how to enable that for all the time, though I haven't exactly done loads of research into the matter. The way that I use (in everything; TextEdit, Mail, MSN, etc. etc.) is once I'm done typing, just mash Command (Apple) + semicolon a bunch of times. This will scan through the text from the cursor position onwards until it reaches the next misspelled word, or the end of the doc. In the latter case, it just starts from the beginning (again), underlining the misspellings one at a time. If nothing's wrong, depending on your settings and the program, it may or may not beep angrily at you until you cut it out.

Not exactly what you wanted, but it seems to work for me. Hope it helps.

Cheers,
Podboy

P.S. I want my iTrip! :( (Child of Commercialism)
