found a better solution
so i tried the rosetta method to no avail, but with more research found this to be effective:
1) Go to your User folder (it is usually your name). Doube click on Macintosh HD, then Users, then your user folder.
2) Open the Library folder.
3) Open the Preferences folder.
4) Manually find the “com.popcap.bookworm.plist” file and drag it to the Trash.
5) Try running Bookworm again.
