My install of leopard seemed to go very well,all of my games etc. were intact except one called Bookworm a game that I had purchased along with others. All of the games are fine but when I tried to reinstall my Bookworm from the website I get this message. Must be run using account with computer administration access?? Thanks for any help you might send my way.

I found out that if you look at the info of the Bookworm application and force it to open using Rosetta, it works fine. Had the same problem though.

found a better solution

so i tried the rosetta method to no avail, but with more research found this to be effective:

1) Go to your User folder (it is usually your name). Doube click on Macintosh HD, then Users, then your user folder.

2) Open the Library folder.

3) Open the Preferences folder.

4) Manually find the “com.popcap.bookworm.plist” file and drag it to the Trash.

5) Try running Bookworm again.

You're being wildly paranoid for no readily apparent reason.

There are LOTS of apps (particularly games) that "require" admin level, and the reason is really very, very simple: because admin is the *DEFAULT* account of Mac OS X.

Certainly if you want to call this sloppy/lazy programming, go right ahead. But to imagine you're "giving away the farm" (??? what exactly are you giving away? to whom??) is just nonsensical.

I don't know about you, but I have admin privileges and it was telling me i didn't when opening bookworm--and only after installing leopard.
