Sata Vs. Sata 2

So I'm looking at this drive: Canada Computers - Hard Drives > Notebook Drives : Hitachi HD 200GB Mobile Harddrive, SATA 7200rpm, 16MB Buffer (0A50940).
for my new Macbook and I noticed it's SATA and not SATA 2. That means 1.5 GBPS and not 3, right? What does that mean in terms of performance if the drive is 7200RPM?
