I guess that's what happens when you try to build an app for an OS that has 10 different flavours. Maybe that was M$' plan all along.
Ten different flavours of Vista is because the legacy userbase on the PC side is FAR bigger and older than the Mac userbase. Releasing only ONE full-tilt version of Vista would orphan -- and **** off -- A LOT of users. So, those that are buying new comps -- and whose programs properly run on Vista -- can buy a system with Vista Ultimate, or people can choose to upgrade their existing hardware to run ultimate. OR, people with older systems can get SOME of the Vista improvements and run the lessor forms of Vista without a big cash lay-down.I guess that's what happens when you try to build an app for an OS that has 10 different flavours.
