"Neil Simon, famed playwright who found humor by chronicling middle-class concerns, dies at 91.

The Pulitzer- and Tony-winning author, who was often called the world's most popular playwright after Shakespeare, wrote dozens of plays and dominated Broadway with hits such as "The Odd Couple," "Lost in Yonkers" and "Barefoot in the Park." "

I always liked his writing.

When you look at the body of his work I’m thinking that the word extensive just doesn’t quite cover it. I’ve always thought that high school kids should have studied Simon instead of Shakespeare...........

Too bad, his talent will be missed.

The Heartbreak Kid (1972) is one of the funniest and cringe-inducing scripts I've seen.
