I reset my OS X password in a hurry one day and forgot it. I was surprised by how easy it was to reset a forgotten password. Just restart with the Install disc. Now I have to recreate my keychain and I'm wondering if there are any implications to this that I'm not aware of. I realize I'll have to remember all my website passwords but is there anything else I'm not aware of?
Also, given the ease with which I can reset my login password, is there a more secure method of securing a Mac?
Lastly, do any of you set any kind of backdoor user to access your Mac in case you or someone else resets and forgets passwords?
