Someone please help!

I need this freakin printer for work tomorrow morning, gotta print some sheets... and I haven't been able to get the darn thing to work since installing 10.4.10. I've tried just about every built in driver, and Epson doesn't have anything on their website.... when I try to print, it just gets stuck in queue and won't print anything.

Printer not working in 10.4.10

Yeah, Kloan, I feel your pain.
This is a problem many of us have experienced in updating to 10.4.10
)(but not all)

here's one workaround.
Tools you'll need: copy of Pacifist
10.4.8 combo updater from apple's website or 10.4.9 combo
I found this info at macfixit.com
1) install Pacifist
2) drag either package onto the Pacifist application icon (DO not install either updater)
3) click triangle next to "System" to expand it
4) click triangle next to "Library" to expand it
5) click triangle next to "Extensions" to expand it
6) scroll down and find the file IOUSBMassStorageClass.kext. Install with Pacifist
7) find the file IOHIDFamily.kext.Install that.
8) find the file IOUSBFamily.kext. Install that
Restart your Mac. If you used the 10.4.9 updater and it doesn't work, try using the 10.4.8 combo updater
also, try USB prober, which may help wake up those sluggish USB ports
that's all I can do for now. Funny thing though-when I plug in my printers directly, they work, but when I use an older IOGEAR usb 2.0 Hub (micro hub) then nothing. Printer doesn't see machine, machine doesn't see printer

Gosh, I wish Apple would fix this

Thanks for the info, I'll try that.

I tried out this other software, 'Printer Setup Repair' and used the 'Permission Repairs' option. It gave me some strange errors, and shows that I'm missing a bunch of stuff:

Thursday, August 2, 2007 5:32:46 PM
Starting permission verification and repair, omitting localized files...

The directory /usr/include is missing!
The directory /usr/include/cups is missing!
The file /usr/include/cups/cups.h is missing!
The file /usr/include/cups/http.h is missing!
The file /usr/include/cups/image.h is missing!
The file /usr/include/cups/ipp.h is missing!
The file /usr/include/cups/language.h is missing!
The file /usr/include/cups/md5.h is missing!
The file /usr/include/cups/ppd.h is missing!
The file /usr/include/cups/raster.h is missing!
Recreating symbolic links...
Done.

Verification complete.

580 files examined. No problems were found.

10 missing files/directories found during the verification process. They may be responsible for certain printing problems. Printer Setup Repair cannot replace these items. Please refer to the log file for a list of the missing files/directories. You may need to reinstall OS X to resolve your printing issues. Certain files and directories are deleted when using the Reset Printing System option. These files and directories, if required, will be recreated during normal printing.
