I will be buying a new printer today for my FP G4 iMac. It is used for my sisters papers, and the occasional pictures. I am getting ride of my HP Deskjet 810c which has given us nothing but problems. I am looking for a good printer in and around $200 that can print good quality photos and is fairly quick, and works with Panther without and glitches. I had a problem with my HP printer with Panther, I contacted HP they gave me a solution, it worked, but then 3 days later it went back to as it was before. So any suggestions on a good printer would be most appreciated.

I use a Canon and it has been trouble free for over a year, and I might add it did not even hiccup despite my installing every software upgrade from Jag on up to Panther.

thanks, I did buy a printer today, not a canon, the mac store I deal with only carries Epson printers, and well I like to support my mac store so I purchased a Epson Stylus C84. Its a nice change from my HP deskjet 810c. Again thanks for the suggestions.

I had an Epson before my Canon.

There was nothing wrong with the printer.

The reason I switched was the price of ink refills.

The Epson black or colour refills were $35 or so.

The Canon black refills are $9.99, colour $24.99.

Cheers
