***SOLD*** thanks for all the interest and will leave the pics and post up for nostalgia.
I'm reaching out to the ehMac community to find a good home for my fully functioning Powerbook "Pismo" laptop - this is circa 2000 and it has a few upgrades*:
machine model: Powerbook 3,1
model #: M7633LL/A
500 Mhz G3 processor
*1GB RAM (maxed out)
*Hitachi GST Travelstar 7K60 HTS726060M9AT00 (08K0939) 60GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache IDE Hard drive
*Airport Card installed
*Mac OS 10.4.11 Tiger preinstalled (note no OS 9 is installed)
*ejectable battery has been replaced with Newer Tech battery a few years ago (original batteries were recycled)
original DVD/CD play still works and is on the right bay
See photos for following normal wear for a 16 year (!!) computer that is in otherwise amazing condition:
- hardly any aesthetic scuffs or scratches on outside case including ALL rubber case coverings are intact with NO peeling or separating.
- few keys show bit of wear on the letters, namely S, D, C and N
- one small chip on upper left side of screen that is hardly noticable on most background and when noticed looks like a dark pixel
- onboard PRAM battery is charged, but if you leave the laptop unplugged for a week and it drains, you may need to do the 'disconnect PRAM battery' to startup (easy to do) and let sit to fully charge, as long as the Newer Tech side battery is charged though there is no issue.
