What computer is a better value and deal , Their is a 200$ difference in favour of the g4.

G4 Powerbook Aluminum DVI 12.1" 1 Ghz model
No issues
original box
plug in
discs
shock proof black case
battery holds 95% of original charge
768ram/80gb hdd

Macbook CoreDuo 1.83 512ram 60gb hard drive
New except for battery and charger

Planning on selling my Macbook parts to supplement , the macbook is 200$ more + my battery and charger.

While the powerbook is 700 and I sell my ram , battery , charger , casing , sleeve , remote etc

well for the $200 you could almost double your computer's speed to 1.82 ghz.

But the powerbooks are much nicer looking IMHO.

Do you have any need to use windows?
No contest: Macbook

It's faster, newer, brighter screen, etc, etc.
I was thinking the Macbook as well , but the 200$ actually is a stretch for me , as in a week or two waiting for the cash to clear up when I need a computer last week.

i have absolutely no need to use windows at all , is the macbook really that much faster....it also has a french keyboard
I have the fastest 15" PB and I recently sold a Black Core Duo MacBook on this site.

The MacBook was twice the computer my PB is. The only thing about mine that is better is the look. The MB was at least twice as fast. Even in games, the G4 is just so incredibly slow and bottlenecked that the 9700 video chip is almost useless.

I will definitely get a MBP just as soon as they update them - I have high hopes for a geforce 8600 in the next MBP.
Macbook!

Not as useless as integrated GMA 950 graphics...

Unplayable (MacBook) or unplayable at twice as fast (PB G4) is still unplayable.

Its academic to say a PowerBook running a newer game at 20 fps is twice as fast as the MB.

Also, I found that the UI rendered faster and smoother on the MB.
Thats funny. I actually wrote a short article for Bare Feats a couple of years ago.

Halo PC vs. Mac comparison.

braggart ;)

(actually... I may have read that one...)
The AlBooks are my favorite computers ever, but they are clearly underpowered in the days of duo core. Good luck trying to play HD stuff on a PowerBook.
