Has anyone tried out RealOne Player for OSX? In your estimation, what player works the best for media/music files in OSX for you? What about video links at news websites? What kind of player is needed? I can't seem to get those links to work.

From my experience, the RealOne player for Mac OS X is an improvement over the OS 9 hideous waste of electrons.

RealPlayer will play files that are .rm and .ram. I don't think it can play a whole lot of other formats.

Other than .WVM and .ASF files, the only type I have troubles with are some .AVI files. Pretty much any other format will work with either QuickTime or RealPlayer.

As for music, such as MP3s, I pretty much exclusively use iTunes. It's just the best!
