So I am curious whether your move to Panther (from Jaguar I presume) was "worth the drive to Acton". I have a beige G3 with processor speed at 433 and have Jaguar as an alternative OS. I like it but it is slow as molasses. Did Panther make a substantive speed difference (now that I presume you have had time to use it).
I have also heard that one was supposedly not able to put Panther on a G3 without the assistance of XpostFacto. How did you install Panther?
