Command-Option-8 Turns the zoom feature on and off, and as james_squared said, check the System preferences. I've had times when it wouldn't zoom out, and when zoomed in a heck of a lot, using the computer just to turn zoom off was rather tedious. The feature however is really great for zooming in on an image to hilight it for people to see.

i really really like the picture & movie smoothing for the zoom.. (zoom into a quicktime movie -- the quality's pretty amazing, if you ask me  )

it's really nice for the "wow" factor when showing off macos x... ;)

the last thing i want to do is hide the cursor...anyone know how to do that?
