i was wondering how much drive space does os9 take up? I have never used classic or booted into 9. would it make sense to get rid of it? would there be any benefits? I'm not hurting for drive space at all.

If OSX is the only Mac OS you've used, you will probably never miss OS9...

But reports of its demise have been greatly exagerated...
