Congratulations on the purchase.

I'm on the edge of buying a new Mac mini myself. Your configuration on a maxed out iMac should last you a good couple of years. Good choice on going with the AppleCare. Peace of mind.

based on the apple education discount (i am taking PT courses at college) it works out to be a pretty good deal. I couldn't see needing the ATI GPU, i dont play games on my mac...

1TB drive will be nice!

Education cost on apple care is pretty well worth it too!

My current iMac had to have the entire logic board replaced, so why take chances!
