Nobody has mentioned the Benoit Incident?

I find it interesting that a Canadian (somewhat) Legend, kills his wife and kid before hanging himself and there is not a peep about it.

As somebody who has met Chris Benoit personally on numerous occasions (He has stayed at my house in the past), I find this news tragic, disturbing, yet not really surprising (If it turns out to be an effect of the Roids).

He was a great guy, and to see him destroy his reputation, and his families lives with this is just heartbreaking. I can't fathom killing your child, even in roided up state, just makes me sick.

Thoughts?

Very upsetting. Unfortunately, people flip out and do crazy things. I doubt we will find the true reason he went crazy.

Thankfully the WWE was able to milk it though for ratings.

They're speculating it may have been 'roid rage.

Tragic and disturbing story, for sure.

as long as the public wants to see large, muscle bound men, there will be 'roids and 'roid rage

Never did get into wrestling myself. Not really into large, muscle bound men either.

I guess the industry desire for men to abuse their bodies is right up there with the fashion industry's desire for women to abuse their bodies (and how many girls need to die from anorexia or bulemia before we really care).
I read that they don't think it was 'roid rage. It seemed too laid out and done over a period of time. Also, the bodies apparently didn't appear beaten. If someone was raging I think they would hit things. Also I read that the killings may have happened over the entire weekend, and not just in one incident. Keep in mind I don't know how reliable my sources are.

Avril  (CBC personality)
Anyone who kills a child is truely sick. I used to be a fan of wrestling, and Benoit, but this just makes me lose all respect for him.

WWE had to act spur of the moment. They actually have a company policy for deaths, and once they were alerted to the fact Benoit killed his wife and son, WWE took down every tribute from their website and I don't believe we will be seeing another tribute to him again, on TV or online. The following night on ECW, it was business as usual again.

Meanwhile, in a press release today, the WWE gave reasons why they say it wasn't roid rage, among them being that the deaths seem carried out over a period of time, and that WWE does drug testing and Benoit tested negative. Take that for what you will.

I really liked him as a wrestler, so I'm just as disappointed as anyone that what happened happened.
