I have noticed something odd with ehMac forums:

The first time I visit the forums on a given day, I click "New Posts". I end up with some number of posts, usually not that many.

I then immediately (after waiting the requisite 10 seconds) click on "Quick Links | Today's Posts". I then get shown a significantly higher number of posts. for example, just now, the "New Posts" click brought me 50 posts and the "Today's Posts" click brought me 100.

Question: If the last time I visited ehMac was around 8 p.m. last night, then any post after that visit should be considered new; meaning that the "New Posts" should always show more posts than "Tpday's Posts" since "Today's Posts" cannot cover posts between 8 p.m. and midnight last night.

So, why is this happening? Any ideas?

Cheers

"Today's Posts" shows all posts from the last 24 hours, not the calendar day (which I believe you are expecting).

They are two different commands!

Today's Posts sends the link/bookmark www.ehmac.ca/search.php?do=getdaily - posts in the preceding 24 hours.

New Posts sends the link/bookmark www.ehmac.ca/search.php?do=getnew - post since last login.

Not the same at all and one shouldn't expect the same result. FWIW, I use the Todays bookmark to enter ehMac.
