I see Apple.com has been updated with a new Music tab. There is also an ipod software update 1.3 for the old ipods, so they can play AAC encoded music.

Yes, the iTunes music store is only available in the US currently. They are supposed to later expand it internationally. There was no date given for the expansion.

As for the new iPod. I like the look. The weight. And oo la la...those round edges. Looks like Think Secret actually had this one on the money. Good for them. Oo...and back-lit buttons.

So... download iTunes 4, ...ooops, it requires Quicktime 6.2

Download Quicktime 6.2 updater... hmmm... the readme is a little unclear... will I need a new Pro key, or will the key I have in my 6.1 work?

My guess, stinand, is that you have to provide billing info (VISA #, and VISA billing address) and that's how they know.

I would imagine a new Pro key is not required as the PRO key has only changed when a major release happens - 4, 5, 6...

Let me know, though, if the old PRO key works.
