Some notes:
1. The firmware update is specific to the MacBook Pro 2.2 and 2.4 15" models.
2. There are some reports of people having issues with this update that may or may not be solved by a PRAM reset. Info on this can be found here:
MacBook Pro EFI Firmware Update 1.3 - Mac Forums
Apple - Support - Discussions - MacBook Pro EFI Firmware Update 1.3 ...
Some users have reported that you have to do this to get it to install properly:
MacFixIt - Special Report: MacBook Pro EFI Firmware Update 1.2
Even though this references the 1.2 update, it apparently works for 1.3 for whatever reason.
3. It should be noted that recent MBP 2.2 and 2.4 models may not need this upgrade. I just got the MBP 2.2 15" on Tuesday and this update said that it was not needed when I tried to install it. I'm guessing it was done at the factory.
Hope that helps.
