Really? No one can help me out with this? 
need help importing mailboxes into Mail
I can't seem to import mailboxes into Mail. I just picked up a used Macbook and am trying to import mailboxes from a g3 imac but it's just not working.
First I tried using the Migration Assistant and a firewire cable. I selected to import files and folders from the imac. Once it was finished and I opened Mail, none of my previous emails were there. Only the most recent ones are there.
Next I tried just importing mailboxes through Mail. So I again hooked up the computers with a firewire cable, seleced the import mailbox function in Mail , it seemed to work and then all my previous maiboxes were put in a folder labelled 'import'. So I thought 'great, it worked!' But when I go to any of those mailboxes they're empty! Also when I exit out of Mail and then re-open it, the import folder (and thus, the imported mailboxes) are gone. What's going on?

Thanks. I'm just doing Mail to Mail. Got help on the Apple discussion forum instead and it's working fine now.
