my Mac Pro has become atrociously the point it is painful to use.
I'm a bit confused over what Bootable Volumes you have and which one is your bootable one you are currently using for your Mac use.

First off, using your normal Boot volume, Shutdown, wait 30 to 40 seconds, Start up, but boot into Safe Boot Mode, (Press and hold the shift button as soon as you hear the start up Sound), Login and You could run any Repairs with disk utility If you like, then just Restart normally.

Doing so should get rid of a lot of surplus crap from your machine and help speed things up.
